FOAM SAFETY
Your safety is critically important to us. Please contact us immediately with any safety concerns that you do not feel are adequately addressed below.
USE FOAM ONLY IN WELL-VENTILATED AREAS.
If ventilation isn’t feasible, ensure you have proper respiratory protection, and that you can quickly exit the area should the fumes become overwhelming.
FOAM IS FLAMMABLE DURING DISPENSING! NEVER use around fire or flame.
ALWAYS wear gloves, protective eyewear, a hat and old clothes when dispensing foam.
IMMEDIATELY exit the area if you have dizziness or any respiratory response to foam fumes or vapors.
AVOID getting foam on your skin or in your hair. Although foam is non-toxic, it is highly adhesive and very difficult to remove. See “Removing Dried or Cured Foam.”
ALWAYS apply two-component foams in multiple, thin, sweeping layers if using the fan spray nozzle. The foam chemistry generates heat during expansion. Multiple thin layers will prevent heat build-up and reduce the possibility of combustion.
NEVER store foam in your car or any area where temperatures can exceed 100ºF.
NEVER puncture cans.
ALWAYS store foam upright. Do not store foam on its side or upside down. Do not store anywhere that temperatures may exceed 100ºF. ALWAYS check the product label for application and storage temperature ranges. |
